Tourists planning on using State Highway 6 through Haast Pass are being urged to factor time into their travel plans.
The pass will close early today and won't reopen until 10am tomorrow.
NZTA senior network manager Mark Pinner said the closure will be inconvenient to some, but the work is necessary.
