A 40-year-old man with a gunshot wound who was dropped off at Waitakere Hospital by a woman was last night refusing to tell police what happened to him.
He was expected to undergo surgery at Auckland City Hospital.
The woman was described as a European in her early 20s and driving a silver, late-model, two-door BMW.
She was tall, slim, had straight blonde hair tied in a ponytail and wore blue jeans, a white T-shirt and pink sweater.
