A bullet-pocked property at the centre of a 50-hour siege is for sale.
Number 41 Chaucer Rd is the notorious Napier address where gunman Jan Molenaar killed police officer Len Snee, then later turned the gun on himself. Constables Bruce Miller and Grant Diver were also shot and injured.
Real estate agents are coming up with a marketing plan to sell after the house was seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Crown lawyer Nicola Graham admitted she had no idea who might want to buy it. "I have no idea what sort of interest there will be or even whether there will be many people who will want to go through it."
Graham said the three-bedroom property would go to tender in the New Year. It had a rateable value of $260,000 in August.
The Solicitor-General granted the forfeiture of the house on Chaucer Rd and around $20,000 - thought to be the proceeds from drug dealing.
