Motorists will receive some respite from rising rising petrol prices, as Gull temporarily slashes 10 cents a litre from its pumps.
From 7am today until midday tomorrow, the petrol company will offer the discount.
It means prices at Gull for regular 91 petrol range between $1.989 and $1.799 a litre.
Petrol prices have been on the rise as the New Zealand dollar hits five-year lows against the US, pushing up the cost of imports.
AA's Petrolwatch website, last updated on Wednesday last week, showed the average price of regular 91 petrol was $2.119 a litre in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
