KEY POINTS:
Violence erupted in the Whangarei District Court yesterday as two guilty men attacked their innocent co-accused.
Chubb Security officers leaped in to stop an attack on Brandon Cole McMahon, 19, who had moments earlier been found not guilty of injuring lifesaving patrol officer James Bidois with intent to injure.
His co-accused, Les Tasos Connelly, 28, and Georgie Abraham Ngaau, 22, were both found guilty of the attack which left Mr Bidois with a broken neck and short and long-term memory loss.
