The minibar has got less of a hammering on Tim Groser's credit card, records released today show.
The previous release of credit cards records for ministers and their staff - for April 2003 until February this year - showed he spent hundreds of dollars on minibar booze when travelling around the world for his trade, associate foreign affairs and climate change negotiations portfolios.
In the latest release for April to June annotations next to minibar bills say the drink was water.
Spending on other events was mainly entertaining important international figures but the records also show a $1308 dinner for government ministers, Labour MPs and heads of several ministries at the Bolton Hotel's pricey Bisque Hotel on March 15. Mr Groser paid $218 of that.
He had a couple of problems with documentation around his $440 Financial Times subscription and in the end was told to get invoiced for it in future.
