Labour weekend is off to a bad start on New Zealand's roads with three fatal accidents yesterday.
Last night Christchurch police were dealing with a fatal accident in Cashmere.
In the afternoon a motorcyclist was killed near Te Kuiti after his bike and a truck collided, and near Gisborne a 59-year-old woman was killed when the 4WD in which she was travelling and a truck collided about 3pm.
