A West Coast father and son convicted of plundering hundreds of thousands of dollars of greenstone have been granted bail, pending an appeal.
In February, David Saxton, 62, was sentenced to two years, nine months in jail and Morgan Saxton, 30, to two years and six months.
They were found guilty of stealing Ngai Tahu greenstone from South Westland's Cascade Plateau.
They were also required to pay the iwi $300,000 in compensation.
Yesterday, the Court of Appeal granted the pair bail until it has heard their appeal.
