Most political parties rated at least three "kiwis" in an environmental and conservation policies survey, but the Act party scored so low it was awarded a "drumstick".
The survey, by the Vote for the Environment Coalition, which includes Forest and Bird, Greenpeace, Environment and Conservation Organisations of New Zealand (ECO) and Federated Mountain Clubs, ranked the parties on their Kyoto Protocol, marine reserves, biodiversity and GM policies.
Four parties returned the coalition's questionnaires. The others were assessed on their known policies and votes in Parliament.
The Green Party rated five kiwis, Jim Anderton's Progressive Coalition four.
New Zealand First, Labour and the Alliance got three kiwis each, and National and United Future one each.
