The Green Party assistant whose partner organised a nationwide attack on National Party billboards prior to the election will not be disciplined over the incident.
Anne Heins, Green Party co-leader Russel Norman's executive assistant, was stood down with pay for two and a half weeks after her partner, Green Party member Jolyon White, was found to be responsible for coordinating the attack, in which stickers with slogans such as "The Rich Deserve More" and "Drill it! Mine It! Sell it!" were attached to National's billboards.
When Dr Norman revealed Mr White's involvement, he said Ms Heins had known about the plan for a couple of months, but had not been involved in organising it.
"She should have been aware of the political implications of what her partner was doing given her connection to the Greens," he said at the time.
In a statement today (Monday), the Green Party said Parliamentary Service, Ms Heins' formal employer, had conducted an investigation into the events surrounding the incident, and had found no disciplinary action is required.
