Ten Fire Service units were needed to tame a blaze raging through a plant nursery site in Alfriston, south Auckland, yesterday.
Nearby residents reported the fire ripping through a building between two rows of single-storeyed glasshouses on Richardson Rd about 11.40am.
The building, containing electrical equipment, was destroyed but firefighters arrived in time to prevent the blaze from spreading throughout the nursery.
The building was empty and there were no injuries. There were no suspicious circumstances but investigations are continuing.
