The Green Party's putting pressure on the Prime Minister's chief of staff to stand aside.
Co-leader Dr Russel Norman says Wayne Eagleson bears responsibility for the release of the emails between MP Peter Dunne and Fairfax journalist Andrea Vance to the Henry Inquiry.
He says while the emails were technically released by the Parliamentary Service, it was Wayne Eagleson who was pulling the strings.
He says the most appropriate move would be for Mr Eagleson to stand aside. "I think we've been slowly finding out what actually happened obviously it's up to Mr Eagleson to decide when it's the best time to go but I think there's little doubt now his position's pretty untenable."
