KEY POINTS:
Citroen has created a new brand, Airdream, to identify the most eco-friendly models in each of its ranges.
It says there are 50 vehicles in its European line-up that merit the Airdream insignia, from the economical C1 - Europe's best-selling car emitting less than 110g/km CO2 - to the family-sized Grand C4 Picasso.
Airdream cars meet the following criteria - CO2 emissions of less than 120g/km, diesels with CO2 below 158g/km, or super ethanol E85 fuelled or those fitted with Stop & Start technology.
Airdream cars must also be made in an ISO 14001 certified factory and be 95 per cent recoverable at the end of their life.
