Ferry sailings between Great Barrier Island and Auckland have been postponed due to bad weather.
SeaLink Operations Manager John Monaghan says they had four scheduled sailings this week. He says the Wednesday sailing got away, but yesterday and today's have been postponed, while Sunday's depends on the weather.
John Monaghan says wind speeds are reaching up to 45 knots and there';s also significant swell in the channel. He says they're hopeful the weather clears up tomorrow so a service can be put on, and Sunday's scheduled service can go ahead.
