Grant secures War Memorial Museum's atrium

The Auckland War Memorial Museum looks set to open its new Grand Atrium to the public by the end of the year after a $2.5 million last-minute donation to the project.

The pledge from the ASB Community Trust completes 12 years of fundraising for the museum's redevelopment.

In that period $108 million has been raised from Government, special local Government levies and charitable entities, the Lottery Grants Board, individuals, families, family trusts and corporates.
