KEY POINTS:
A school caretaker has been jailed after pleading guilty to sexually violating young children.
The 64-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty at Pukekohe District Court in April to two charges of unlawful sexual connection.
He was sentenced at the Auckland High Court last week to three years and four months in jail and ordered to pay $10,000 reparation.
He was granted permanent name suppression to protect his victims, the 11-year-old daughter of a family friend and his 3-year-old grandson.
