Grafton Bridge could be closed to traffic as early as next month for structural strengthening as part of a $43 million-plus busway project between Britomart and Newmarket.
Auckland City's transport committee will recommend the council accept a $6.9 million tender from Fletcher Construction to strengthen the bridge. Pedestrians and cyclists will still be able to use the bridge.
