A 53-year-old grader driver has died following an incident in Southland today.
Emergency services were sent to the scene at Ellis Road, off the Five Rivers-Lumsden Highway near Lowther, about 11.55am, a police spokesman said.
Sergeant Ian Martin said the Invercargill man was found dead near the grader, but the cause of his death was not known.
No other vehicles were involved.
Police, the serious crash unit and WorkSafe New Zealand staff attended the incident scene.
