Auckland is in for a dry, settled weekend as good weather moves across the country.
"A high pressure system is speeding across from the Tasman sea, and as that builds, we're going to find it's a pretty settled story across New Zealand," MetService forecaster John Law said.
"The weekend will be great for outdoor plans so make the most of it."
Auckland would be largely dry and "not too cold", he said.
A south-westerly breeze could be pushing cloud across the city, especially in the mornings, bringing a the odd spot of rain.
