Saturday's club competition was a Stableford round with Laurance Butler
winning group one with 41pts by lot from Rodney Flood 41pts from 3rd B
Pengelly 39pts. Group two was won by Kingi Ruhe 42pts from 2nd Ian Race
41pts from 3rd Robin Britt 40pts. Group Three was taken out by Matthew Biel
36pts from Mark Schultz 33pts by lot from 33pts.

Sunday saw a small crowd turn out to play with Bryan Dick win group one with
66 net by lot from Kevin May 66 net from 3rd Lance Duckett 68 net. Group Two
was won by Kevin Hunter 68 net from 2nd Ron Hutcheson 72 net from 3rd Tom
Tiopira 73 net. Twos were scored by B Dick, I Karaitiana and P Tennent.
Lukies Lucky Last was won by Junior Towgood.

A funeral procession was driving by the golf course as a group was putting
on the 18th green. Upon seeing the hearse, one of the players stopped and
put his hat over his heart as the procession passed. "That was really a very
nice gesture," one of his buddies said. "Hey, it's the least I could do.
Sunday would have been our 35th wedding anniversary!"
