A group of St Teresa's students are helping the people of East Africa through song, by making a CD and selling it to raise money.
The group of eight Year 6 to 8 students, who'd shown an interest in singing, volunteered to sing the two songs on the CD which was recorded in Featherston by Warren Maxwell at his Stone Feathers studio.
Drama teacher Carrie Watson said the girls "really enjoyed making it", and sales had been steady so far, with the CD available for $10.
"It's been slowly selling, but we've only just finished it, so it's doing pretty well in two weeks."
Year 8 student Sam Wiblin said the CD was originally raising money for the 40-hour famine, but they are continuing to sell it to raise money for the famine.
