Swedish golfers today completed a comprehensive triumph in the world women's amateur teams championship in Adelaide.
The Swedes were never headed in the four-day tournament at the Grange course in Adelaide's west and today cruised through the final round to claim a 12-stroke victory.
Sweden finished at a 72-hole total of 19-under par, well ahead of nearest rivals Spain at seven-under.
The United States finished third at five-under while host nation Australia struggled throughout the biennial tournament and was tied for 15th, at 15-over.
Each nation had three golfers, with the two lowest scores comprising their total.
The best individual performer was Swede Caroline Hedwall, who finished with a personal total of 10-under for her four rounds.
Her feats helped the Swedes collect their second Santo Espirito Trophy from the past three tournaments.
New Zealand finished in a tie for 21st with Thailand on a 23-over par score.
Cathryn Bristow was the best of the Kiwis in a tie for 33rd on a 10-over score of 300.
Dana Kim was next with a 16-over 306 to be in a tie for 57th and Natasha Krishna was on 308 for a share of 72nd.
