Friday, March 25: The women went to Eketahuna in their match against Martinborough for the Riverside Cup and were unfortunate to lose 4 to 2 in hard-fought matches.
Saturday, March 26: The fourth round of the men's interclub. Seventh division played away against Boulcott's Farm and were successful in winning 8 to 7. Eleventh division were at home to Kapiti and the result was a win for the first time this season, 12 to 3. Many thanks to all players who made themselves available as it has been hard getting a team together.
Sunday, April 3: The women played the third round of the Tilson Salver at Carterton against Castlepoint and had a 4 to 2 loss.
Men's interclub round five. Seventh division played at home against Shandon and were winners 10 to 4. Men's eleventh division played against Pauatahanui at home and had to settle for second, losing 11 to 3.
Sunday competitions: April 3 was par round and the winners for the day were first Alex Walters +8, second Jeff Saunders +5 and third Alistair Forrest +4.
Nearest to the pin on the All Teed Up ninth hole was Eddie Brown, also twos were won by Brian Rudman on the 5th and Charlie Fairbrother on the 11th.
Sunday 10th was stableford round, with beautiful weather all weekend making for great scores.
The men's winner was Allan King with 44 points, second Mike Wren 43 and equal-third Patrick Melaugh and Glenn Harper 38. Patrick Melaugh and Charlie Fairbrother scored twos on the ninth hole and to top it off Patrick got nearest to the pin on the All Teed Up sponsored hole with Allison Saunders.
President's Cup matchplay was also held. Some of the match winners were: Brian Russo won from Jeff Saunders, Bob Schofield (yes, Bob Schofield) won from Mike Wren, Bill Seymour winner over Terry Smith, Eddie Brown won from George Criddle and Charlie Fairbrother winner over Ray Weighell.
Women's Tuesday competition, March 29, was a par round and the winners were Lily Adamson with 2up and second Julie Dondertman with 1up.
April 12 was stableford round and the winners were: first place Shona Pillar 41 points, second Deb Henderson 35 and equal-third Julie Murray and Bev Thomson on 34.
Dates to remember
Today is round six of interclub. Seventh division play host to Boulcott's Farm and eleventh division play at home against Masterton.
Tomorrow is round four of the Marquis Shield. Featherston will play Eketahuna at Carterton.
The women are host club tomorrow against Mahunga.
Sunday, April 24: The club will be hosting its annual Easter Stableford Event.
Have fun belting a little ball around a paddock and chipping the poor little thing on to the green and nursing it into a hole. They call it golf. Have fun.
