Hawke's Bay professional golfer Doug Holloway is on a roll.
Holloway followed his hugely impressive win in the Jimmy Napier Classic at Martinborough on Thursday when he shot a nine-under 63 to share victory in the two-day Eketahuna Masterton pro am on Saturday and Sunday with North Harbour's Josh Carmichael.
They both finished playing the 18 holes at Eketahuna and the 18 holes at the Masterton Golf Club's Lansdowne course with a score of 131, ten under par.
Carmichael had a one-shot advantage over Holloway at Eketahuna, his 66 placing him just two shots behind Brad Shilton, the Te Awamutu professional whose 64 was seven under par.
At Lansdowne, however, it was the other way around with Holloway firing an equal best 64-with third-placed Troy Ropiha of Taupo and Carmichael 65.
Holloway included two eagles and four birdies in his effort while Carmichael had eight birdies but two bogeys in his round. Ropiha's 64 contained seven birdies, one eagle and one bogey
For Shilton, the Lansdowne course proved more testing than Eketahuna and his 72 dropped him back into a share of 10th placing.
