The Golden Oldies rugby festival will pack up and leave Wellington after tomorrow night's closing party, but not before leaving its mark on the Capital.
Tim Cossar from Positively Wellington Tourism said the 4,000 competitors and supporters will have pumped about $10 million into the local economy during their stay.
He said most of the money will have been spent on travel, accommodation, food and refreshments.
He said some photographic stores and book stores have also reported increased trade.
A fair bit of money has also been spent on doctors, physiotherapy and pharmaceuticals.
