Labour leader Phil Goff has pledged never to sell Kiwibank and wants the Prime Minister and leaders of other political parties to do the same.
Mr Goff, who was joined by numerous other Labour politicians, told a small crowd that had gathered outside Kiwibank in Papakura today that he was there for a very special reason.
"We own Kiwibank. It should stay that way."
After talking about the history of Kiwibank and its success, Mr Goff said he didn't trust John Key not to sell, despite the Prime Minister having said he wouldn't during a televised debate.
"We are going into an election in three days and they are going to put all sorts of assets on the block if National gets elected, but we are not going to let them."
