After their superb 2-0 first-day victory over Waikato, the Wairarapa U-13 girls' hockey team tasted further success on the second day of the Collier Trophy national tournament in Timaru.
Wairarapa registered a 4-0 win against Nelson followed by a 3-0 victory over Counties Manukau. Players of the day were Litia Jane (against Nelson) and Jaimee Hicks-Wilton, while goalkeeper Ashleigh Long was voted player of the day against Waikato.
The team has yet to concede a goal after the first two days of competition. Wairarapa's next game is against Marlborough and a win will secure a place in the play-offs.
