The fire service is warning motorists to avoid a sticky situation in an Auckland suburb.
Three or four kilogrammes of a glue-like substance called 'gripflex' has spread across the road at the intersection of Church St and Henderson Pl in Onehunga.
Fire Communications shift manager Steve Smith says it has probably fallen off the back of a truck and a cleanup is underway to stop it getting into drains.
He says motorists should avoid the area.
