Motorists have found themselves in a sticky situation in Papakura after 100 litres of PVA glue spilled from a truck.
Fire Service spokesman Jarron Phillips said the glue had spilled at the intersection of Beach Rd and Great South Rd in the Auckland suburb of Papakura.
Mr Phillips said the substance stretched along the road and one lane was closed.
The Fire Service hazardous substances unit was on the way to the scene and a council pollution team had been called.
Fire Service staff have covered the spill on the road with absorbent.
