A young mother is devastated after someone raided her car while she was dropping her son off at daycare on Wednesday.
The mum, who does not want to be named, had $1450 in a zip-lock bag in the glove compartment of her car when she was delivering her son to daycare in Surrey St, Masterton, shortly before 9.30am.
The money had been intended for a car purchase, but it had not eventuated, and she was due to take it back to her bank.
"I didn't realise until I got home the money was gone.
"I must have pushed 'unlock' instead of 'lock' [on the remote]."
