It is 20 years since this Douglas Villa AFC side won the Hertz central league division three (south) competition, and with it promotion to division two, and a re-union to mark their success is to be held on Labour weekend. Statistics show the 1985 line-up won 13 of their 22 matches and drew six and scored 65 goals while conceding 32. McGuiness and Tattam shared their Player of the Year award, and Hullett and Badcock likewise their Most Promising Young Player award. Judged the most consistent player was Dam and best and fairest was Morgan. The trophy for the top goal scorer went to De Haas, who netted 19 goals.
