Mr Peters makes personal call to Mr Glenn.

Mr Glenn says he would have returned the call. This is the call in which he says he is "absolutely certain" Mr Peters raised his need for financial assistance to cover legal costs from the Tauranga petition. Mr Glenn agrees to consider it.

DECEMBER 12
Mr Glenn again contacts Mike Williams about Mr Peters' approach, because "If I agreed to contribute, this would not be seen by Labour as being unhelpful to its own interests".

DECEMBER 14
Mr Glenn calls Mr Peters saying he agrees to contribute.
Although Mr Peters had originally asked for $70,000, it becomes clear to Mr Glenn that he wants more and he agrees to give $100,000.

Minutes after that call, Mr Glenn receives an email from Mr Peters' lawyer Brian Henry, referring to the conversation with "my client" and submitting bank details.

Mr Glenn and Mr Peters have lunch at the Karaka sales. Mr Peters thanked him for his assistance.
