KEY POINTS:
GlaxoSmithKline faced pressure yesterday after being accused of covering up the link between suicide in teenagers and its drug Seroxat.
The BBC programme Panorama claimed GSK distorted data and said there were internal documents questioning the drug's safety dating back to 1999. GSK denied the claims and called the programme "misleading".
GSK said its new generation H5N1 flu vaccine, expected to be effective in a pandemic, had been accepted for review by European regulators.
Analysts said the announcement provided "positive sentiment" ahead of the broadcast.
