KEY POINTS:
Frankie Guise, the glamorous London-based daughter of multi-millionaire businessman Dennis Guise, was married in a lavish event yesterday that had Russell locals turning out in full force.
The bride, 27-year-old daughter of New Zealand-born Dennis Guise, had her wedding gown made by Princess Diana's wedding dress designer; guests jetted in from Europe, and the bridal party rode through Russell in an antique carriage pulled by two black horses.
Rumours flew thick and fast in Russell, with speculation that the three-day celebration cost hundreds of thousands of dollars and those at the wedding saying Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss were on the guest list and Lionel Ritchie was supposed to sing at the reception, but couldn't make it.
After Guise and her husband-to-be Alexander (Tandy) Nil were married at Christ Church, on Russell's waterfront, guests prepared for a lavish reception last night at the Eagle's Nest, a luxury resort at Tapeka Point. The wedding party booked out the resort, said to have cost $20,000 a day.
Today the bridal party and guests will head for exclusive Mataka Station for a barbecue.
