It will be a tougher Christmas for the family who operate Gisborne’s Zest Cafe after thieves broke into their chiller on Monday night.
The loss of half of the chiller’s contents at about 10pm marks the second time the cafe on Peel Street has been targeted by such a burglary.
Security camera footage shared by Zest Cafe on social media shows three people removing the chiller door at the rear of the cafe from its hinges, wrecking it in the process.
