KEY POINTS:
On Saturday night they will all roll up to the captain's house. That's Jo Price, captain.
Steve Price's wife is the unofficial captain of the Warriors WAGs and, just like it is in the team, her deputy is Santa Wiki, wife of Ruben. The pair are known affectionately as "The Oldgies", or old girls, by the other wives and girlfriends.
Jo Price swung into gear moments after the Warriors' impressive 30-13 win over the Sydney Roosters to invite all the WAGs around to the Price family home in Balmoral to watch Saturday's preliminary final against Manly.
"I just thought it would be a nice idea to watch it all together," Jo said. "If they win it will be pretty exciting."
It's hard to imagine the original WAGs, the wives and girlfriends of the English football team coined by the British tabloids during the 2006 World Cup, doing something like that. For them, it's all diamonds and Gucci, dahling.
"God, no," Price laughs when asked if life was anything like that depicted on television show Footballers' Wives. "I wish. More like Glassons and Strandbags. Not too many diamonds here, mate."
They are given special treatment by the Warriors club, however.
The wives have their own box at Mt Smart Stadium for each home game and are given a budget. Belinda Fien, wife of halfback Nathan, is treasurer.
The club also provides a creche so the WAGs can watch the games and they all chip in $5 to provide food and drink for the older children.
"It was electric," Santa Wiki says of Friday's win. "There was tension, nervousness, disbelief. It's exciting for us to watch."
Wiki knows that the Warriors' last game this season will be the last in the NRL for Ruben after 16 years. Santa had a feeling it wouldn't end on Friday night and the excitement of the Warriors' run hasn't left her much time to think about what life will be like after the NRL.
"September is an exhausting month," she says.
"It's not winding down at all."
There would be special cause for celebration if he could end his NRL career in the grand final in a fortnight. There's just the small matter of getting past a very good Manly side on Saturday night.
