A girl had to be picked up by a rescue helicopter after coming off her motorcycle at a property near Eketahuna.
The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to a rural Tararua property to pick the girl up and take her to Palmerston North Hospital for further treatment.
A St John paramedic stabilised the patient at the scene. The helicopter was called out due to the remote location and the nature of the girl's injuries.
