A five-year-old girl who went missing tonight while watching fireworks has been found after a major search in the Auckland suburb of Flat Bush.
Counties Manukau police patrols, the police helicopter and relatives spent nearly three hours searching the area for the girl, who was last seen around 8.45pm in Eroni Clarke Close, near Botany Junction.
Police said the girl has now been found by relatives and is confirmed safe.
The girl is of Tongan descent and was wearing a pink checked top and black pants. She has yellow and black shoes.
She is of skinny build and has long hair worn in a pony tail.
