Everything points to a battle royal when Giants and Dodgers Dynamos meet in a Hutt Valley President's grade men's match at Fraser Park tomorrow.
Giants president Allan Clarke says results of games between the two sides in recent years were "about 50-50" and he is anticipating another thriller.
"It willvery probably go right to the wire, there should be nothing in it," he said.
Giants, who have yet to taste defeat this season, will have gun pitcher Tony Nixon back to help their cause and he and his Dynamos counterpart, Bob Doherty, seem sure to have a big say in the result.
The Giants under-18s are scheduled to have their first match of the 2011-12 season at Fraser Park tonight.
The defending champions are up against Hutt City United and coach Mark Fricker is sure to have them fired up for a big effort.
The other two Giants age group sides, the under-15s and under-13s, both play Hutt City United sides at South Park in Carterton tomorrow and will be favoured to extend their unbeaten records.
