Gherkins sold in New Zealand supermarkets are being recalled after dead fruit fly larvae was discovered in a small number of jars.
South Auckland-based Delmaine Fine Foods Ltd said there had been no reports of illness from eating the larvae as the product had been pasteurised.
However, anyone concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
The recall involved Delmaine Gherkins in 670g jars.
