A man who drove the getaway car in a string of robberies last month has been jailed for three years and two months.
In Masterton District Court yesterday Adrian Maynard, 25, was sentenced to three years for being a party to aggravated robbery, and 18 months to demanding with menaces with intent to steal.
The jail terms are to be served concurrently.
On a further charge of intimidation, Judge Ian Mill said he wanted to treat that separately because it had a "nasty" side to it with Maynard threatening a person who was helping police with the inquiry.
He was sentenced to two months cumulative to the other jail terms.
On a further charge of intentional damage Maynard was convicted and discharged.
