National MP Gavan Herlihy says the Government should add a fifth commissioner to the Royal Commission on Genetic Engineering, to ensure the agricultural sector has an input.
Mr Herlihy says none of the four commissioners appointed to the inquiry has an agricultural background.
He says genetic engineering could have a huge impact on agriculture and the Commission needs to have a balanced membership to ensure an unbiased outcome.
