The product recently found to contain more than the acceptable level of 1 per cent of genetically engineered material was not baby food, the Food Safety Authority says.
NZPA reported last week that the product over the 1 per cent threshold was an unnamed baby food, but an authority spokeswoman said today that was incorrect.
The product was ``preserved soy in rice sauce''.
More than 100 food products were tested in the audit conducted by the authority and Environmental Science and Research.
