Gas leak in west Auckland library

A library has been evacuated in west Auckland after a gas leak this afternoon.

A contractor hit a gas pipeline on the corner of Ranui Station Rd and Swanson Rd in West Auckland, and police have set up roadblocks in the area.

It is expected it will take at least another two hours to fix the leak.

The library was evacuated because it is just across the road from the leak and down wind.
