She said some gardens are relatively new with their own lake and native trees right through to very unique gardens with sculptural features.
Many of the owners will be available during the day to tell the story of how their garden came to be.
A few of last year's favourite gardens will be included again this year, but most of the gardens will be new to the programme, said Ms Parker.
"The garden tour is definitely a must for anyone who loves gardens, loves day trips or just loves getting out and about. Plus, all funds raised go towards supporting Pukaha's Mount Bruce's wonderful wildlife."
The ticket price is $45 per person, with discounts for large groups.
