Masterton Tranzit raised almost $800 at their Bonanza Garage Sale on Saturday for the Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
Tranzit Relay for Life team member Kath Saxon said staff had put in nearly 40 hours of their own time to fundraise for the upcoming event. Friends and family of staff had also been helping with fundraising efforts.
She said staff were eager to participate because many had been affected by cancer themselves.
"The first time we did it [Relay for Life] was because one of the staff members was going through cancer.
"We've probably lost 10 people [to cancer] within the company in the last three years," she said.
