Two men described by a judge as being members of a "gang of thieves" who carried out raids on homes and business premises in Christchurch were remanded for sentence after appearing in Christchurch District Court today.
Richard Johnathan Bidois, 18, and Kent Seiji Natsuhara, admitted a total of 27 charges ranging from burglary to shoplifting.
"This is a case of gang of thieves," said Judge Stephen Erber remanding the pair for sentencing on August 5.
He told both men he would order reports on their suitability for home detention, but warned that he believed prison was likely for both of them.
A third man alleged by the police to have been a lynch-pin of the gang is in custody, due to make an appearance at a court session on Friday.
