A gang member believed to be armed and using methamphetamine has been arrested in Huntly, north of Hamilton.
The man, who was also wanted on several charges, went to the District Court in Huntly to talk to his lawyer today. He was seen by police and arrested.
Sergeant Blair Donaldson from Huntly police said the 26-year-old man was arrested without incident.
Police said he would appear later in court on the eight active charges.
