A man left beaten at a Dallington bus stop was the victim of an internal motor-cycle gang fight.
The victim, in his 40s, was found lying on a bench at a Dallington bus stop by a passing member of the public on Friday about 8.30pm.
The Star has learned he had an argument with other gang members and the severe injuries were inflicted during an ensuing fight.
Police yesterday refused to discuss details about the incident. But in a statement earlier this week, they said the injuries were possibly inflicted with an axe, knife or sword.
He was admitted to Christchurch Hospital and underwent surgery, before being discharged earlier this week.
