Police believe gang associates may be hiding a man who stole a car from two women who stopped to help him at an accident.
Black Power member Kelly Lee Kamura 30, described by police as "dangerous", is still at large after fleeing the accident in Dannevirke on November 25.
Detective Sergeant Allan Mullacrane of Dannevirke said today police believed Kumara might now be in the Tauranga region where he could be getting help from his partner and gang associates to keep a low profile.
He said Kamura should not be approached and anyone spotting him should ring police.
He is described as Maori, over 1.8m tall, medium build, and was last seen wearing a dark hoodie and dark trousers.
Kamura was injured when the car he was travelling in collided with a Fonterra milk tanker on the outskirts of Dannevirke about 12.25am on November 25.
He was limping and had blood streaming down his face when he took the car belonging to two women who had stopped to help him.
